Nowhere in the wine country is there currently a place where golfers can enjoy the spirit of golf's original venues, such as North Berwick, Prestwick, Troon (pictured) and St. Andrews in Scotland. The proposed Coore & Crenshaw-designed golf course at Brambles will pay tribute to those special places. The new course will be a visual treat as it stretches out over a broad expanse of wine country valley floor, capturing the natural beauty of the region. The course will be operated on a non-profit basis to affect positive change, through land stewardship, local community involvement and providing life skill development opportunities for young people. In keeping with a fine tradition in golf, use of the course will be shared between visiting golfers and a golf club, the Brambles Club.
